Skype
Skype (pronounced /skaip/) is a  Software application that allows users to make voicve call over the Internet. Calls to other users within the Skype service are free, while calls to both traditional landlines telephone and mobile phone can be made for a fee using a debit-based user account system. Skype has also become popular for its additional features which include instant messaging, file transfer , and video conferencing. The network is operated by Skype Limited, which has its headquarters in Luxembourg and is minority owned by eBay. Most of the development team of Skype is situated in Tallinn, Estonia for cost reasons and outsourced by the Luxembourg parent company
Unlike other VoLP services, the Skype company does not run only on servers, but makes use of background processing on computers running Skype software; the original name proposed—Sky peer-to-peer (see below)—reflects this.
Some network administrators have banned Skype on corporate,government, home, and education networks,citing reasons such as inappropriate usage of resources, excessive bandwidth usage,and security concerns.



Yahoo! messenger 
Yahoo! Messenger (sometimes abbreviated YIM) is an advertisement -supported instant messegine, client and associated protocol provided by Yahoo!. Yahoo! Messenger is provided free of charge and can be downloaded and used with a generic "Yahoo! ID" which also allows access to other Yahoo! services, such as Yahoo! Mail, where users can be automatically notified when they receive new email. Yahoo! also offers PC-PC, PC-Phone and Phone-to-PC service, file transfers, webcam hosting, text messaging service, and chat rooms in various categories.
Yahoo! Messenger was originally launched under the name Yahoo! Pager on March 9, 1998.
In addition to instant messaging features similar to those offered by ICQ, it also offers (on Microsoft Window) features such as: IMVironments (customizing the look of Instant Message windows, some of which include authorized themes of famous cartoons such as Garfield or Dilbert), address-book integration and Custom Status Messages It was also the first major IM client to feature BUZZing and music-status. Another recently added feature is customized Avatars. Yahoo Messenger also allows users to access Yahoo Chat Rooms.

A metasearch engine is a searchtool that sends user requests to several other search engines and/or databases and aggregates the results into a single list or displays them according to their source. Metasearch engines enable users to enter search criteria once and access several search engines simultaneously. Metasearch engines operate on the premise that the Web is too large for any one search engine to index it all and that more comprehensive search results can be obtained by combining the results from several search engines. This also may save the user from having to use multiple search engines separately.
The term "metasearch" is frequently used to classify a set of commercial search engines, see the list of search engines, but is also used to describe the paradigm of searching multiple data sources in real time. The National Information Standards Organization (NICO) uses the terms Federated Search and Metasearch interchangeably to describe this web search paradigm.

Search Engine
A web search engine is designed to search for information on the World Wide Web and FTP servers. The search results are generally presented in a list of results and are often called hits. The information may consist of web page, images, information and other types of files. Some search engines also mine data available in database or open directories. Unlike web directories, which are maintained by human editors, search engines operate algorithmically or are a mixture of algorithmic and human input.

How it works? 

Search engines are basically computer algorithms which help users find the specific information they’re looking for. With literally trillions of pages of information online, without effective search engines, finding anything on the Internet would be almost impossible. Different search engines work in different specific ways, but they all utilize the same basic principles.
The first thing search engines have to do in order to function is to make a local database of, basically, the Internet. Early searchsearch engines index all of the text on every page, as well as a great deal of other data about that page’s relation to other pages, and in some cases all or a portion of the media available on the page as well. Search engines need to index all of this information so that they can run searches on it efficiently, rather than having to run around the Internet every time a search query is sent engines just indexed keywords and titles of pages, but contemporary .
Search engines create these databases by performing periodic crawls of the Internet. Early search engines often required pages to be submitted to them in order to crawl them, but now most pages are found by following links from other pages. What are called robots spiders, computer programs built to index pages, flit from page to page, recording all of the data on the page, and following every link to new pages. Different search engines refresh their indexes at different intervals, depending on how many spiders they constantly have crawling, and how fast those spiders crawl, with some working their way through the Internet every day or two, and others only doing a periodic refresh every week or month.
Search engines then must weight the value of each page, and the value of each page for the words that appear on it. This is the trickiest part of what a search engine has to do, but also the most important. At the most simple level a search engine could simply keep track of every word on the page, and record that page as relevant for searches with that keyword. This wouldn't do much good for most users, however, as what is desired is the most relevant page for their search query. So different search engines come up with different ways of weighting importance. 
The algorithms that various search engines use are well protected, to prevent people from specifically creating pages to get better ranks, or at least to limit the degree to which they can do that. This difference is why different search engines yield different results for the same terms. Google might determine that one page is the best result for a search term, and Ask might determine that same page is not even in the top 50. This is all just based on how they value inbound and outbound links, the density of the keywords they find important, how they value different placement of words, and any number of smaller factors.The newest trend in search engines, and likely the future of search in general, is to move away from keyword-based searches to concept-based searches. In this new form of search, rather than limiting a search to the keywords the searcher inputs, the search engine tries to figure out what those keywords mean, so that it can suggest pages that may not include the exact word, but nonetheless are topical to the search. This is still a developing field, but so far seems to have a lot of potential in making searches more relevant, making the web an even easier place to find exactly what you're looking for.

Social media sites have altered the face of communication. Business communications in particular have become more personal and profitable due to the development of social media.
Social media is a way of communicating on a personal level rather than through advertisements, brochures and newsprint. By using social media, you converse with others and they respond to you. Gone are the days of the big advertising blitz with million-dollar ads on television or in print. Some still use them, but social media sites are getting the word out in a much more personal, effective and economical way.

Facebook. One of the biggest social media sites, Facebook is similar to Twitter but there is no restriction on the character count of the messages. People also comment on messages or pictures posted by others. Also, you can have a page dedicated to your business that will bring particular attention to your products or services by posting information and commenting on communication of others.

Twitter. On Twitter, people communicate with followers using short (140 character)  messages. In those message, they can inform their followers through an announcement, show their followers a picture by sending them to a site containing the picture, send their followers to their website or blog, send their followers to another website or blog, or tweet music.

ning.com. The network of Ning.com has many small social media sites. Each site is dedicated to a particular topic. Individuals who are also interested in one of those topics are able to join a site and converse with like-minded individuals.

MySpace and YouTube are social media sites where people post pictures or videos of themselves or their interests. Many talented people or interesting businesses have been discovered through these sites.

Use of social media sites is very popular for good reason. If used appropriately, social media sites can broaden the customer or client base of most businesses. Through providing the public with interesting, entertaining, or valuable information in their postings, people can attract customers and clients to add to their base. And, for little to no expenditure, these businesses have a way to advertise their products or services and an easy way to let others know when they are offering special discounts or announcing a new product.

When beginning to determine what social media site to use, be careful to not overextend yourself. The one drawback of using social media sites is that they take time and must be updated frequently. If you set up a schedule for yourself, your should be able to get the most from our site.

This is a table of personal computer web browsers by year of release of major version, in chronological order, with the approximate number of worldwide Internet users in millions. Note that Internet user data is related to the entire market, not the versions released in that year. The increased growth of the Internet in the 1990s and 2000s means that current browsers with small market shares have more total users than the entire market early on. For example, 90% market share in 1997 would be roughly 60 million users, but by the start of 2007 9% market share would equate to over 90 million users.

My Dinagyang Experience

I really enjoyed the Dinagyang Festival Because so many artist and band i saw and bonding with my friends..In January 23,2011 afternoon Romeo, Rhea and I  come to the Sports Complex to joined other people suffering  the hit of the sun to see many of artist performed ..But suddenly  in the night of Jan.23  i got sick because im not  use to direct sunlight and i got a fever.headache,sore throat and upset stomach thats way 3days i didn't come to school.

Top 10 Virus

1. ILOVEYOU -
(2000) One of the most widespread and rapidly spreading viruses ever, the ILOVEYOU virus spread via e-mail, posing as an executable attachment sent by a friend from the target’s contact list.
2. Code Red
(2001) IIS on Windows servers were the target of this virus. It also launched denial of service (DoS) attacks.
3. Nimda
(2001) Nimda used seemingly every possible method to spread, and was very effective at doing so. Nimda is notable for being one of the fastest spreading and most widespread viruses ever.
4. Melissa -
(1999) The Melissa virus is notable because it is a Word macro virus. It cleverly spread via e-mails sent to contacts from the infected users’ address books.
5. Sasser
(2004) Sasser exploited a buffer overflow and spread by connecting to port 445 on networked Windows systems. The chaos caused was possibly the worst ever, as systems restarted or crashed.
6. The Morris Internet Worm
(1988) The grandfather of computer worms, the Morris worm infected Unix systems and was notable for its “accidental” virulence.
7. Blaster -
(2003) Blaster exploited a Windows operating system vulnerability and let users know of its presence with a system shutdown warning.
8. SQL Slammer
(2003) This tiny virus infected servers running Microsoft’s SQL Server Desktop Engine, and was very fast to spread.
9. Elk Cloner -
(1982) Despite Apple’s marketing that their systems are less prone to viruses that was not always the case. Notable as possible the first personal computer virus, Elk Cloner infected the boot sector of Apple II floppies.
10. Creeper -
(1971) This is noted as possibly the first ever computer virus. It infected computers on ARPANET. Mostly harmless, the concept of Creeper has infected the minds of rogue programmers through today.
